We have stayed here several times before and so we know what to expect. The location is great for us - and very quiet. Unfortunately, the garden annex is beginning to show its age and could do with a revamp - particularly the common areas. But, the beds are comfortable, and everything in the room functioned correctly.

Beautiful setting and view from the room was over the garden. Loved the balcony, sat out at the picnic table and chair enjoying a cool drink with the sun on me. Also loved the mini fridge for keeping milk and a drink

Enjoyed the quiet location of the Hotel, and the history and the grounds were fabulous. The bedroom windows are in severe need of replacement, but at least they opened allowing for ventilation. Evening meal was excellent, and the best steak I have ever had. I had to compliment the chef. The choice at the buffet breakfast was good, and the cooked breakfast was outstanding.

Friendly helpful staff, nice clean room, large comfy bed, good shower with nice complimentary toiletries. We had food in the library bar, which was lovely, good breakfast with plenty of choice for hot or cold. Hotel is close to Stanmore's station, 5/10min taxi 30mins to walk, carparking at station, where you can get a train into London for all the sites, and just 3 stops to Wembley park.We enjoyed coming back here after the busy days in London and at Wembley for the peaceful surroundings to chill out.

My recent stay at the Best Western PLUS Grim's Dyke Hotel was a delight from start to finish. This hotel is nestled amidst sprawling gardens and has a fascinating history as the once home of the famous librettist, W.S. Gilbert. The hotel itself is a treasure, with antique furnishings and charming decor that make you feel transported to another age. The staff are incredibly attentive, welcoming me with a warm smile and ensuring my every need was met. The restaurant food and service was excellent. With its heritage and character, the Grim's Dyke Hotel is a stay that feels indulgent yet unstuffy. Steeped in history and beauty, from its gardens to its architecture, the hotel pays tribute to a bygone era while embracing modern comforts. My thanks go to the late, Sir John Betjeman and his 1973 film, 'Metro-Land' - which featured Grim's Dyke all those decades ago. Watching the film again recently, inspired me to stay there. I shall return again to this jewel among hotels. Grim's Dyke was the perfect escape. I look forward to another visit again in the future.

The hotel was tucked away down a long drive through mature woodland with some spectacular old trees. It unfolded at the end of the road and it was a grand old dame of an arts and crafts building. Inside it was majestic and spacious with some very comfortable shared spaces. We glimpsed some conference rooms with splendid old fireplaces. It was grander than we'd imagined and so close to London about 12 miles but in a rural location. We didn't have time to explore the groundnut they looked impressive from our bedroom windows. Plenty of free parking spaces.

The location is just off the beaten path, so you are not disturb by traffic noise. You wake up to bird song instead. The grounds are stunning. The main house and lodges are set in amongst tall trees and well keep lawns and flower beds.

The room was lovely, traditional country house style with enough modern comforts. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and very tasty. The location was ideal for a quick train ride into Euston without having to suffer the rigours of London driving.
